Mingrui is a 5th year Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics and Data Science. His research interest is theoretical machine learning and optimization, including online learning, submodular maximization, and projection-free optimization methods. Prior to joining Yale, he received his Bachelor’s degree in math and applied math from Peking University. He likes reading books and watching movies. He is also a supporter of Liverpool FC.
