Farzin is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Institute for Network Science. He obtained his PhD from EECS department at Pennsylvania State University, working on the topic of the fault-tolerant distributed algorithms for machine learning problems. He is graduated from Sharif University of Technology respectively. Prior to joining Pennsylvania State University, he was research assistant at the Information Engineering Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests are broadly in the areas of information and coding theory and its application in machine learning and distributed computing. He is also a big fan of tennis.
